New Transition Management Services Framework goes live
The new Transition Management Services Framework went live in March and is now open for users to join and call-off. The Framework is split into two Lots, covering 'Transition Management and Implementation Services' and 'Transition Management Advisory Services', which are both available for Further Competition and Direct Award.

Procurement Act 2023
The new Procurement Act commenced in February 2025 and has now come into effect in England and Wales. The upcoming Actuarial, Benefits & Governance Consultancy Services Framework will be the first National LGPS Framework to be let under the new Act, and all future National LGPS Frameworks will also be covered by these regulations. Existing National LGPS Frameworks and their call-off contracts will continue to be covered by the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

Framework Updates
Actuarial, Benefits & Governance Consultancy Services
The National LGPS Frameworks team have begun the process of re-letting the Actuarial, Benefits & Governance Consultancy Services Framework, which is due to expire on 30th June 2025. If you are looking to run a Further Competition or make a Direct Award through this Framework, your Order Form must be completed and signed before this date.
The new Actuarial, Benefits & Governance Consultancy Services Framework will be the first National LGPS Framework let under the new Procurement Act 2023. As a result of this, there may be a small gap in service between the current Framework and its replacement in order to give the Frameworks team, Founder group, and potential Providers on the Framework more time to get to grips with the new regulations. We are aiming to make this gap as small as possible and will provide regular updates on the progress of the new Framework.
Pensions Administration Software
The National LGPS Frameworks team and Founder group are in the final stages of the re-let of the Pensions Administration Software Framework. We are aiming for the new Framework to go live on 1 May 2025, the day after the existing Framework expires.

Running a Further Competition using a procurement system via a National LGPS Framework?
There are a few key steps to follow when inviting providers to participate in your Further Competition:
- Invite all capable providers: Every provider on the Framework who can meet your requirements should be invited to participate.
- Check Provider details: Double-check that the Provider details registered on your procurement system match those in the National LGPS Frameworks Provider Catalogues. If they don't, update them - or ask the Provider to do so.
- Contact Providers pre-issue: Guide providers on how to register or verify their contact details on your procurement system, along with how to access the competition documents and when they will be available.
- Request Read/Delivery receipts: We'd recommend adding delivery and read receipts to all emails related to your Further Competition.
